Seeking an Azure Security Engineer/Architect for a 3-month contract with a competitive rate! Lead MDC rollouts & policy automation!
Why You’d Like It
Step up into a dual hands-on engineering and strategic architecture role where you can truly take ownership of cloud security. You’ll be leading a high-impact Microsoft Defender for Cloud rollout while earning a market-leading day rate in a collaborative team environment.
The Story
To significantly reduce the risk of public cloud resource misconfigurations, our client is kicking off a key initiative to elevate their security posture. They are looking for an experienced Azure Security pro to bridge the gap between high-level architecture and practical execution, turning security recommendations into real-world guardrails.
Company Profile
Our client is a prominent New Zealand enterprise operating a large-scale cloud footprint. They value innovation, agility, and robust governance, providing an enterprise environment where security engineers have the autonomy to make meaningful, lasting improvements.
Your Role
You will design and roll out Azure security controls and policies that keep critical applications safe without slowing down delivery teams. Working closely with cloud and security architects, you’ll turn raw security recommendations into practical operational patterns.
You bring at least 5 years of hands-on Azure experience, including 3+ years specifically focused on cloud security. You know Azure Policies, Azure Resource Graph, KQL, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud inside and out. You’re comfortable stepping into strategic architecture discussions just as much as writing policy code, and you have the communication skills to take stakeholders along for the journey.
