Your Role
- Designing and delivering modern data platforms using Databricks and Microsoft Fabric, spanning ingestion, transformation, and medallion architecture.
- Owning workstreams end-to-end—managing scope, quality, and delivery timelines from initial design and build through to UAT, deployment, and handover.
- Engaging directly with clients to gather requirements, run technical working sessions, produce accurate estimates, and manage project stakeholders.
- Collaborating across practice areas on data migration streams, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 projects.
- Applying practical AI tools to streamline day-to-day engineering workflows and helping clients adopt AI on solid data foundations.
- Mentoring junior engineers, sharing technical knowledge, and contributing to reusable engineering patterns and standards.

Your Fit
- 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, with deep technical capability in Databricks (Delta, workflows, Autoloader) or Microsoft Fabric (lakehouse, DirectLake, pipelines).
- Strong expertise in SQL, Python, PySpark, modern ETL/ELT pipeline design, and medallion data modelling.
- Proven experience applying DevOps practices, including Git, CI/CD, and environment promotion.
- Excellent consulting skills—able to gather requirements, run workshops, estimate work independently, and communicate clearly with client stakeholders.
- Practical familiarity with AI engineering tools, along with exposure to Power BI, semantic modelling, dbt, or Dynamics 365 data migrations.
- Relevant certifications, such as Databricks Certified Data Engineer, Microsoft Fabric (DP-600/DP-700), or Azure Data Engineer (DP-203), are highly valued.
