Step into a high-autonomy Senior Tester role in Albany. Drive automation, use AI-assisted tools and work with a passionate team.
Why You’d Like It
This is a rare opportunity for a senior testing professional to truly own the QA space within a globally successful, niche product and software house. If the idea of moving away from rigid corporate bureaucracy and stepping into a collaborative, forward-thinking environment appeals, this role delivers. There is genuine autonomy to shape the testing function, experiment with cutting-edge AI-assisted testing tools like Claude Code, and enjoy a hybrid work setup with a couple of days working from home each week.

The Story
With a steady influx of global projects, the engineering team is expanding its capabilities. A recent departure has created an immediate opening for a senior figure to step in, stabilise the QA environment, and establish robust testing processes. Once embedded, this person will take charge of onboarding and mentoring another QA resource down the track. There is an exciting pipeline ahead, including migrating older test suites over to Playwright and driving modern automated frameworks.

They offer the stability of an established global product house combined with the agility and flat structure of a small team. The R&D team actively embraces modern technology, making it an ideal place for tech-curious professionals who like to stay ahead of the curve.

  • Continuous improvement of test systems, with an eye toward future framework migrations.
  • Providing occasional high-level technical support to the internal customer-facing teams.
Benefits
  • Salary: Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Flexibility: Work from home 2 days per week, with 3 days in the North Shore based office.
