Seeking a hands-on Solution Architect to modernise banking & payments systems. Technology agnostic!
Why You’d Like It
As part of a large-scale transformation programme, we are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join a high-performing team delivering modern, scalable banking solutions. This is not a high-level advisory role—our architects are hands-on, working closely with engineering teams to define, build, and evolve core banking and payment platforms.
Over the next 12–18 months, the focus is on significant system enhancements and modernisation, requiring deep expertise in banking integrations, payments, and API-driven architecture.
Company Profile
A leading bank with a strong commitment to innovation, security, and customer-centric solutions. This organisation is undergoing a multi-year transformation, investing heavily in technology to create a seamless, future-proof banking experience. You’ll be joining a collaborative, forward-thinking team, where your expertise will shape critical financial services infrastructure.
Your Role
As a Solution Architect, you’ll be responsible for designing and evolving key banking systems, ensuring seamless integration between legacy and modern platforms. You’ll work hands-on with engineering teams to implement domain-driven design principles, develop API-first solutions, and support a major migration effort. Your role will cover these main focus areas:
- Long-term transformation programme, with a major uplift over the next 12–18 months
- Initial 6-month contract with multiple 6-month extensions expected
- Flexible / hybrid working
- Work on critical banking systems with a leading financial institution
- Hands-on architecture role, deeply involved with engineering teams
- Opportunity to shape modern API and domain-driven architectures
