They need a Senior Engineer to come on board, not just to write code, but to help shape their technical direction, elevate the team's practices, and maintain the high standards that set them apart.

Your Role 

• Work within your cross-functional squad to design, build, and support secure and scalable APIs in the cloud.
• Champion high standards for clean, well structured, and reusable code.
• Tackle genuinely unique technical problems, designing and building elegant solutions to bring product features to life.
• Help to continuously improve the team's engineering processes, tools, and standards.
• Develop prototypes to rapidly test new ideas and product hypotheses.
• Grow into a subject matter expert in decentralised identity, and contribute back to the open-source community.

Your Fit

• A strong backend development background, with at least 5 years of commercial experience using NodeJS and TypeScript.
• At least 7 years of total experience developing applications that are in the hands of real customers.
• Confidence in architecting, building, and supporting APIs in a cloud environment.
• Experience leading technical discussions, from mapping out requirements to planning sprints and conducting design reviews.
• A knack for problem-solving and proactively tackling tricky impediments or technical debt.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk about complex technical ideas clearly with both technical and non-technical people.
• A collaborative, team-first attitude – someone who loves to share knowledge and contribute to a collective understanding.
• Any experience with Go or Rust, working in start-ups, or contributing to open source communities would be a massive plus.
