Your Role
- Build, lead, and mentor a new team of 6-7 software and test engineers.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture where people can do their best work.
- Provide coaching, conduct performance reviews, and support the career development of your team members.
- Take ownership of your team's delivery, removing blockers and ensuring they build robust, scalable, and high-quality solutions.
- Embed modern engineering practices like CI/CD, TDD, and code reviews.
- Act as the bridge between your team and the wider business, partnering with Product and Architecture to shape strategy and connect the team's work to real customer value.
- Proven experience managing or leading a software development team.
- A strong technical background in backend development, ideally with C# and .NET.
- Experience working with large-scale, event-driven systems in a cloud environment (they use Azure, but AWS or GCP experience is welcome).
- A genuine passion for quality and an understanding of modern engineering practices (CI/CD, TDD, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust and collaborate effectively across different teams.
- A knack for breaking down complex problems and guiding a team to deliver practical solutions.
